McAnally Shows Off, Hits for Cycle
The Jackson HS Polar Bears topped the Harvard-Westlake Wild Cats by a score of 7-4 at The Cat Pound today but all the talk was on center fielder Avon McAnally.

The Jackson HS star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. McAnally went 4-for-4, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.

"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," McAnally said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in."

Avon McAnally walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Devin Day in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.

So far this year McAnally is batting .414 with 13 home runs.
