The Batavia Muckdogs beat the Pittsburgh Millers, 8-5, at North Shore Dog Park. The Muckdogs got a fine performance from catcher Dominic Bedolla, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Terrance Anderson closed out the game, earning his 6th save. The slumping Millers have lost 6 straight.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Keon Pryor was at the plate when Batavia scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Muckdogs to go in front, 6-5.

Afterward, Pittsburgh manager Finch Hasek said: "Every team has a bad week."
