The Los Angeles Sharks beat the Toronto Canadians, 3-2. Los Angeles pitcher and Joplin, Missouri, native Dwight Cameron led the way. The win gives the Sharks a record of 21-39.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Richard Sall to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sharks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We take it day by day here," said Sall, "and today was a good one for us."
