Hartford Beaten, 7-5, by Seattle
|
Seattle shortstop Nick Strain played a vital role in his team's 7-5 conquest of Hartford. He was 2-2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Seattle. Jakob Williamson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 5 save opportunities. The Pilots, at 27-35, inhabit 5th place in the Import League Bock Division.
Strain had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Cody Briggs, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Pilots a 7-5 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Strain.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Strain said.
