The Washington Bats defeated the Pittsburgh Millers, 4-3, in Import League action at Kennywood Park. Washington pitcher Marc Dillard had a standout performance. Dillard picked up the win for Washington, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. Steven Durham notched his 4th save in 5 chances.
Justin Reaves, who is a four-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reaves contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Washington up, 4-2.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Washington manager Jonah Winkley.
With the victory, the Bats upped their record to 41-19.
