Canadians Topple Patriots, 15-7, as Wheat Shines
A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Brian Wheat, who is tied for 5th in the DL with a .350 batting average, led the Toronto Canadians to a win over the Pawtucket Patriots, 15-7. Cyril Castellon got the win, improving to 8-3. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 6. The Canadians bumped their record to 31-28 with this latest triumph.

Chase Calhoun dealt the Patriots a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Toronto leading 4-3, Calhoun, who leads the DL in stolen bases with 32, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Wheat.
