Sorcery Use Late Rally to Win
|
Wilmington shortstop Jim Jimenez helped his team beat the Pittsburgh Millers, 9-4. Jimenez, who is tied for 4th in the DL in stolen bases with 18, went 2 for 4 for the Sorcery. The win for the Sorcery lifted their record to 35-23.
San Marcos, California-born Dee Minnis came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Sorcery trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Wilmington on top.
"This is a very good team," said Minnis. "We have the chance to do something special."
