The Baltimore Bulldogs faced a tough opponent in Phoenix pitcher Jeremy Thrasher, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Birdnest by a final score of 3-0. Thrasher went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Kelvin Ellis picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 9-2. Justin Martines, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

Cole Watson aided the Baltimore cause in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 1st, the 26-year-old third baseman hit a 2-run home run.

"We've got a great group of guys," Watson said, "and we're having fun right now."
