Guides Improve to 31-27 with 5-1 Win
The Maine Guides converted a terrific effort from starter Bailey Holden into a win over the Toronto Canadians at Old Port Park. The Guides won the game by a final score of 5-1. Holden, now 4-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Brennen Moody wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Deshaun Bearden was 1-3 for Maine. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Graysen Thomas. It was his 16th hit of the season.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Bearden.

The second-place Guides have won 4 in a row.
