Washington Bats starter Collin Jackson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Windy City Blues, 1-0. Darius Huschke locked down his 15th save. Washington's record now stands at 31-27, placing them third in the Import League Stout Division.
The famously hardworking Jackson handled the Blues all day, notching 6 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Jackson goes to 4-8 on the year with 64 strikeouts.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Jackson told the Washington Chronicle.
