Washington Gets 6-5 Win Versus Seattle in 10
|
The Washington Bats withstood a good performance by Seattle center fielder Derick Cross to knock off Seattle, 6-5, in 10 innings. Cross went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. The Bats have an impressive 37-18 record.
The Bats got a clutch hit from center fielder Teddy Burch. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Bats.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Burch told the Washington Gazette.
