Exports Sunk by Voodoo
The New Orleans Voodoo downed the Montreal Exports, 8-0, at Henry Byrd Field. Stellar pitching by Miles Licon had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who finished 5th in the DL in ERA with 3.17 in 2062, handcuffed his opponent all game. The 5th-place Voodoo are now 27-28, the Exports 31-25.

The Exports had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Voodoo going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 2064 DL home run champion Andy Bernard came to the plate. Bernard hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 splitter from Montreal hurler Brendan Allison. It was Bernard's 16th home run of the year.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Israel Montero.
