The Pittsburgh Millers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dylan Montgomery into a win. Instead, the Pawtucket Patriots prevailed, 3-2. Montgomery threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Nathan Boudreaux snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Johnny Youngstrom suffered the loss. The win puts the Patriots at 25-29, while the Millers drop to 30-23.

Pawtucket got a knockout punch from Joey Wilburn. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Wilburn said.
