Clowns Earn Late Win
Indianapolis pitcher Jamel Thomas had a large part in his team subduing the Syracuse Snappers, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The winner in relief was Jaron Christopher. He is now 3-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The win has Indianapolis at 17-38.

Doug Hardy came through with a big-time hit for Indianapolis. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Jamel did what Jamel does," said Indianapolis manager Tommy Manheim.
