Clowns Hand Snappers 5-1 Loss
|
Indianapolis starter Charles Hofer put a stranglehold on the Syracuse offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Clowns to a 5-1 win. Hofer went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-6. The Clowns raised their record to 22-31.
Indianapolis used the bat of Jett Speer to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Clowns ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"It's a mindset," said Hofer. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
