The Batavia Muckdogs besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Baltimore right fielder Aaren Hernandez by beating the Bulldogs, 7-5, at North Shore Dog Park. Hernandez was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win puts Batavia at 32-22 this season.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Dominic Bedolla came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Baltimore pitcher Anton Anthony, he hit a 1-2 cutter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Batavia on top, 7-5.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Bedolla.
