Drillers Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
|
Toronto picked up a win at Dylan Owens Stadium, bumping off the Dallas Drillers, 5-3. Pitcher Connor Mundy was a major reason the Canadians emerged victorious. Blaze Houk, who is rated as the 66th best prospect by BNN, earned the save for Toronto. With the win, Toronto pushed its record to 27-25.
Regis Bryant, who leads the DL in extra base hits with 37, chipped in a 2-run home run for Toronto in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
Toronto manager Tom Dingman commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
