Santo Domingo got a strong outing from Derrick Boccia as the Rum Runners defeated the Hartford Whalers, 6-1, at Brugal Park. Boccia got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. The victory makes Santo Domingo 5-1.

Cory Munsterman had a big 2-run double for the Rum Runners in the bottom of the third inning. With Santo Domingo leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Dave Hunt, who signed a 3-year contract worth $36,500,000 on 02/14/2069, and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rum Runners ahead, 3-0.
