The Philadelphia Freedom went home winners at Jistic Field, thanks in large part to starter Holden Ritchey. Ritchey stifled the Windy City Blues, enabling Philadelphia to grab the 6-0 win. The winner was Ritchey. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mardy Owens. The Freedom raised their record to 25-27.

Philadelphia relied on the bat of Abraham Koziarz to get the win. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Freedom ahead, 1-0. For the game, Koziarz had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Koziarz told the Philadelphia Daily News.
