Exports Stay Hot With 5-3 Win
|
The Montreal Exports racked up a win at Riverfront Park, bumping off the Wilmington Sorcery, 5-3. Jim Miller, who started for Montreal, pitched effectively for his team. Stedman Ortiz, who is tied for 3rd in the DL in saves with 39, earned the save for Montreal. Wilmington, at 100-62, has lost 5 straight.
Montreal used a clutch at-bat from Devyn Glover to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Exports ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Glover said.
