Snappers Lose to Rum Runners in Walk Off
The Syracuse Snappers got a superb performance from third baseman Devan Clark. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Santo Domingo. The Rum Runners won the game, 6-5. Clark went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Santo Domingo reliever Martin Bowden picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Carnell Torres shouldered the loss. Today's win puts Santo Domingo at 29-23, while Syracuse falls to 22-29.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Santo Domingo center fielder Spencer DeSimone, facing Carnell Torres, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rum Runners the 6-5 win.

"We're all smiles after that win," DeSimone told the Santo Domingo Observer.
