Bats Down Tobs, 2-1
|
The Washington Bats did just enough to secure a victory over the Carolina Tobs, 2-1, at The Capitol. Nobody did more than pitcher Justin Casey. Washington reliever Darius Huschke picked up the win, upping his record to 9-6. Antonio Sutton absorbed the loss. The third-place Bats have won 6 straight.
The Bats procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Parker Lee. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lee.
