Snappers Deal Rum Runners 4-3 Defeat
The Syracuse Snappers defeated the Santo Domingo Rum Runners, 4-3, at Brugal Park. Devan Clark was a standout performer for Syracuse. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. Vince Phaneuf came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. The 5th-place Snappers are now 22-28, the Rum Runners 28-23.

Clark had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Rice Cochell, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Snappers a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Clark.

Clark attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
