Exports Net 7-2 Win
|
The Montreal Exports rode a solid performance from 37-year-old starting pitcher Brendan Allison to a win, beating the Pawtucket Patriots, 7-2, at The Brewery. The Patriots, now 20-30, have lost 4 straight.
Aidan Cramer had a big bases-clearing double for the Exports in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Montreal leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Marc Dillard, who is tied for 6th in the DL in innings pitched with 69.2, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Exports ahead, 7-1.
"All in all, I thought Brendan pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Montreal manager Israel Montero.
