Blues Get Hard-Earned Win
The Batavia Muckdogs were defeated, 4-3, by the Windy City Blues at Jistic Field, even though Max Kidd pitched well for Batavia. The winner was Elton Cruzreyes in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Max Kidd took the loss. The Blues go to 22-28, putting them 4th in the Import League Bock Division.

Sagua la Grande, Cuba-born Nigel Torres came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Blues trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Windy City on top.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Torres told the Windy City Bulletin.
