Rum Runners Win Thriller, 5-4
Brugal Park was rocking after an exciting Rum Runners win.

The Santo Domingo Rum Runners defeated the Toronto Canadians, 5-4, in Domestic League action at Brugal Park. Santo Domingo pitcher Caden Stafford had a standout performance. Santo Domingo reliever Austin Virnig picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jayden Lemley was saddled with the loss.

The Rum Runners were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when center fielder Spencer DeSimone turned a full count fastball from Jayden Lemley into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Brugal Park denizens and sent the Rum Runners home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"This place was rockin'," said Stafford.

The win gives Santo Domingo a season record of 28-22.
