Cyclones Drop Contest, 7-2, to Washington
|
The Washington Bats got a stellar performance from pitcher Stanley Olson, who handcuffed the New York offense en route to a win, 7-2, at Kennedy Field at Metropolitan Stadium. The win boosted Washington to 27-22.
Parker Lee, the six-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lee contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
