Los Angeles and Washington played a hard-fought contest.
The Los Angeles Dinos took Washington pitcher Braydon Lynn's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Capitol. The final score had Los Angeles getting past the Bats, 3-2. Lynn went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. Evan Browning, now 7-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1.
Eloy, Arizona-born Cole Riley came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Dinos trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Los Angeles on top.
In postgame comments to the Los Angeles Bulletin, Riley said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Dinos raised their record to 84-72.
