The Wilmington Wildcats got a superb performance from pitcher Zack Fleming, but the Dallas Drillers still won the game, 1-0. Fleming threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Picking up the save was Brad Wiese, his 9th. At 59-94, the Drillers are currently last in the Domestic League Lager Division.

The Wildcats had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Drillers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old first baseman Abdoul Ren came to the plate. Ren hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from Wilmington hurler Zack Fleming. It was Ren's 15th home run of the year.

"Winning never gets old," said Ren.
