Dinos Eke Out 3-2 Win Versus California
|
The Los Angeles Dinos picked up a win at In-N-Out Field, knocking off the California Kodiaks, 3-2. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Conner Flowers, who played a pivotal role in the win. Flowers picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. Tod Steffen was credited with the save for Los Angeles, his 22nd of the season.
Elmer Nelson, who is a three-time All-Star, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"That's baseball," said California manager Louie Sumski. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
