Millers Drop 4-1 Decision to Voodoo
|
New Orleans turned a fine outing from starter Joel Thompson into a victory over the Pittsburgh Millers at Kennywood Park. The final score was 4-1. The Voodoo saw their record improve to 84-68.
New Orleans went in front, 3-1, on Lucas Brinson's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Brinson hit in the top of the seventh, left Pittsburgh pitcher Johnny Youngstrom visibly perturbed.
"Joel did a heck of a job," said New Orleans manager Grant Driscoll.
