The Montreal Exports took Hartford pitcher Joel Freeman's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Samuel Stone Memorial Field. The final score had Montreal getting past the Whalers, 4-3. Freeman went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. Matt DuFresne picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 9-1. Dawson Million was tagged with the loss. The Exports raised their record to 84-68.

Montreal used a timely hit from Cody Henning to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Exports ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Henning called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
