Snappers Prevail, 4-3, Over Pittsburgh
|
Syracuse registered a win at Kennywood Park by beating the Pittsburgh Millers, 4-3. Pitcher Caden Berry was one reason why the Snappers triumphed. Berry got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Winton McBride earned the save, his 1st, for the Snappers.
Syracuse used the hitting of Dawson Tuttle to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Snappers on top, 4-2. For the game, Tuttle had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Syracuse manager Jesse Meltzer applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
With this game in the books, Syracuse is 20-27, Pittsburgh 25-21.
