Walk-Off Seals 87th Victory for Pilots
|
The Seattle Pilots topped the Phoenix Roadrunners, 5-4, the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Ryan Carr. On the day, Carr went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Pilots. Seattle reliever R.J. Gabriele picked up the win, upping his record to 5-7. Logan Schneider shouldered the loss. Seattle, at 87-60, sits in first place in the Import League Bock Division.
Cole Kleiner was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pilots catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place sure got loud," said Masuho Ogawa, the Seattle manager.
