A.J. Kochman pitched a gem to lead Philadelphia to victory over the Windy City Blues, 4-1. Kochman yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 3-6. Jonah Gower picked up the save for Philadelphia, his 28th of the year.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Alec Boersen had a game-changing hit. The Freedom right fielder slammed a 2-run single off Julian Crawford, making the score 4-1, Philadelphia.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Boersen.
