Kodiaks Earn Clutch Win, 3-2
|
The Batavia Muckdogs could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Andy Morgan into a win. Instead, the California Kodiaks prevailed, 3-2. Morgan threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. California, at 26-19, is 5 games up in the Import League Bock Division.
Tyler Kelleher was the walk-off hero for California. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kodiaks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Kelleher said.
