Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Maine Guides and Montreal Exports.
The Maine Guides bested the Montreal Exports by a score of 4-2, with first baseman Brad Pendolino getting the main credit. On the day, Pendolino was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Guides. Parker Terry notched his 29th save in 34 chances.
In the bottom of the sixth, Maine catcher Benjamin Keating had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Keating stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-2, Maine. For the game, he went 1-3.
After the game, Maine manager Marty Kennedy applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The victory gives the Guides a record of 73-72.
