Sean Hayward helped his team muscle past the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-2. In the game, the Indianapolis first baseman was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Jaron Christopher nailed down his 3rd save. The win puts Indianapolis at 56-88.

With Indianapolis trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Hayward hit a fastball from Deshaun Alohalani for a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Clowns ahead, 3-2.

Indianapolis manager Tommy Manheim was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
