Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Hartford Whalers and Syracuse Snappers.
The Hartford Whalers locked up a win at Snapper Park, knocking off the Syracuse Snappers, 4-3. On the mound for Hartford was left-hander Seth Faber. He played a major role in the triumph. In 8 innings, Faber surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.
