Wildcats Lose to Voodoo in Walk Off
The New Orleans Voodoo electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

The New Orleans Voodoo had to overcome a fine performance from Wilmington pitcher Rick Robertson to grab a 3-2 win at Henry Byrd Field. Robertson allowed 2 runs over 8 innings. At 71-70, the Voodoo are currently third in the Domestic League Lager Division.

New Orleans won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Abel Harreld on the mound for Wilmington, first baseman Kai Hayes hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Voodoo fans to their feet.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Hayes said.
