Cyclones Spill Whalers, 2-1
|
New York Cyclones starter Braydon Lynn turned in a sparkling performance against the Hartford Whalers, leading his team to a 2-1 win. Eddie Bollenbach, 2-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. The last-place Cyclones go to 55-80.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Logan Kedzie, who finished 2nd in the DL in stolen bases with 69 in 2062, hit a single. The Cyclones went on to win.
"Braydon went out and did what we needed," said New York manager Rory Vest.
