Cyclones Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Left-hander Alex Landrum mesmerized the Seattle Pilots while leading the New York Cyclones to a 1-0 victory. The win belongs to J.R. Arnold in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Xavier Cook took the loss for Seattle. New York, at 31-15, is 3 games up in the Import League Stout Division.
New York won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Xavier Cook on the mound for Seattle, right fielder Jared Rosewall hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Cyclones fans to their feet.
"There's no quit in this team," said Cyclones manager Dave Taylor.
