Pilots Nip Kodiaks, 3-2
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the California Kodiaks home opener. Theodore Blume started for the home team against Cayden Wittmeyer for the Seattle Pilots. The Kodiaks were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 3-2, Seattle. Theodore Blume, though, was impressive.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Jerry Coleman to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pilots on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a tough loss," said California manager Louie Sumski. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
