Decker Raps Vancouver for 5 Hits
|
The 5th time was not the charm for Micah Decker today.
The third baseman for the Fresno Chilies hit the milestone today at The Chili Pepper, but it was the Vancouver Mounties that salvaged a 5-4 victory. Decker finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough.
"He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Vancouver manager Ben Clewley said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win."
Decker declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one."
Micah Decker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
This season Decker is batting .263 with 21 hits, 1 home run, 6 RBIs, 4 walks, .294 OBP and has scored 9 runs. He has played in 21 games.
