Voodoo Pick Up 4-1 Road Win Over Phoenix
The New Orleans Voodoo downed the Phoenix Roadrunners, 4-1, at The Birdnest. Stellar pitching by Andy Blake had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who leads the DL in wins with 5, handcuffed his opponent all game. The winning pitcher was Blake, now 5-1. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. New Orleans now has a record of 22-12 with the win.

New Orleans used the hitting of Julian Davis to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Voodoo on top, 3-1. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Andy did a tremendous job," said New Orleans manager Grant Driscoll.
