Windy City starter Collin Calder pitched effectively against the New York Cyclones at Kennedy Field at Metropolitan Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. New York is now 0-4.

Windy City used the clutch hitting of Nigel Torres to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blues ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

Torres called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
