Leseberg, Voodoo Too Much for Patriots
|
The New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Pawtucket Patriots, 11-5, at Pawtucket Park. Lon Leseberg was one of the standouts for New Orleans. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 triple, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 4 he knocked in. New Orleans, with the win, is 3-1.
The Voodoo got a big at-bat from right fielder Andy Bernard, who in the top of the first hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Voodoo on top, 4-0.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Leseberg. "But I like how we're playing right now."
