Voodoo Squelch Millers Offense in Shutout Win
New Orleans Voodoo pitcher Kris Elliott was in fine form, leading his team past the Pittsburgh Millers, 4-0. Elliott got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Elliott allowed no runs. Charles Young nailed down his 1st save.

Lon Leseberg, the fan favorite , had a direct impact on the outcome. Leseberg contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put New Orleans up, 1-0.

"Kris -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Voodoo manager Dusty Guercio. "He was the key to us winning."
