Guides Walk It Off for 12th Win of Season
|
The inspired effort of Dallas first baseman Latif Won was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Maine Guides. Won was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win brings the Guides to 12-20, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Sean Brown was the walk-off hero for Maine. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Guides designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This wasn't a good win," said Brown. "It was a great win."
