With shortstop Phillip Cox leading the charge, the Philadelphia Freedom defeated the Los Angeles Dinos, 7-3, at Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower Field. Cox was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Elliot Caldwell got the win, improving to 1-3. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The victory makes Philadelphia 11-19.
The Freedom got a big at-bat from third baseman James Lester. For the game, Lester was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Philadelphia a 4-3 lead.
