Wilmington center fielder Barrington Purbacaraka was sensational. He was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Hartford beat the Wildcats, 6-5. The winning pitcher was Rich Mount. His record is now 3-1. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Whalers. Wilmington drops to 12-17.
